Wanted Trailer for Raft and/or John Boat

If you can’t find a used one, you could always look at the new ones at Harbor Freight and modify it to your desired configuration. A number of folks have done that over the years.

I've been looking for something similar for my 9ft wooden pram. Tractor Supply also has some small trailer kits that I was thinking might make a good platform for building a pram or mini-driftboat trailer:

I thought that if I pulled the existing bunks, trimmed them down in length and installed them 90 degrees (transverse) that might work well. But Northern are such bandits when it comes to shipping that I just couldn't pull the trigger on ordering it.

Word of caution: if you go the HF or similar build yourself trailer, you may have to get it inspected to get a title and register it (at least we have to go through that process in PA). It ended up not saving me hardly anything as compared to buying a trailer with a title and rehabbing it (or even just buying a better trailer).
I was a bit trepidatious about that too... but I think if the seller provides an MSO (Mfg Statement of Origin) document then (at least in WA) you can go and get it titled without a physical inspection. But I have not tested the process to confirm that.
