To fish or not to fish?

Last summer, an urban stream was opened up for the first time in many years. Previously, it was only open to kids. That should be enough of a clue for some folks here to figure out what stream that I'm talking about. I didn't fish it last summer, because I figured it might just be a one season COVID thing. I was also concerned that someone might not be aware of the reg change and get up in my grill. However, my new home is very close to there and I'm now considering giving it a try (if and when it opens up again).

To those who know what I'm talking about, what is the verdict?

Fish it. Be prepared to show evidence of reg change. But open water? Fish it twice at least

I'm surprised that it was opened up and am not sure how I feel about fishing it so I haven't yet.

It seems like WDFW is just a mixed up group of people. I read in your regs about few years ago that they put a small stream above a water fall as a closed area. This year it is not closed at all. I subject that those that regulate your skinny water have no idea what they are doing.
