Far from your area but here are a few observations off the top of my head.
We grow stone fruits which have very predictable harvest periods here. This winter we received all the chilling hours they needed but had two false starts to bud break.
Snow Queen Nectarines come in June 15 -21, this year they came in May 21 - 30. Heavy harvest, smaller than usual fruit with high sugar content.
Freestone: Red Barron Peaches come in every year between July 7 - 18, this year they came in between June 15 - 21. Heavy harvest, large ripe well flavored fruit.
Our late season cling peaches - Halfords, come in August 21 - Sept 7. TBD.
Fruit boring insects which usually plague growers here are in complete absence this season.
Garlic crop which is a no brainer in this area, was very poor this year, very small bulbs.
There have been fewer Coyotes, Foxes, bobcats, cougars and raptors spotted than in years past.
There are numerous unattended Olive trees in the area which had an abundance of fruit drop this year, that produced an explosion in the ground squirrel population.
Cottontail numbers are very low.
Our grasslands and pastures have thicker than normal, unusually tall grasses this spring.
We've had over a dozen grass / wildland fires within a five mile radius of our home so far this year - slightly more than usual for this point in the calendar.
Spotted something weird this past Saturday, a Coyote covered in Phos-Chek.
Local temps for today.
In 1918 the high was 118.
In 1914 the Low was 50.
Today it will be 104 (normal) with a low of 72.
