Legend
On Sept. 3, at approximately 9:15 a.m. Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) Police Officer Tank contacted an individual fishing at the Haller Park on the Stillaguamish River. Officer Tank asked WDFW dispatch to run the man’s information and was alerted that the man had an active Dept. of Corrections (DOC) felony warrant for escaping community custody. Officer Tank attempted to take the man into custody and instead of complying he tried to escape by jumping into the river. Officer Tank went after the man in the river, where she caught up to him downriver on the opposite shore. The man, now tired and wet, was placed into custody.
