Eglon. He has done a better job doing it than I EVER have! Truly...
Anyone know of a drive/pull through boat launch?
Ha! Let's see him do it with a one ton long bed pick up and a 35 foot fifth wheel.
Now that would be impressive.
That's impressive. Safe guess Jack grew up as a farm kid, and farm kids just learn stuff early. My Dad put me to work pretty young. Learned to drive a Farmall 22 Tractor at age 10, and was raking 80 acres of hay the next year. I could also operate the manure spreader, so take anything I say with a grain of salt. Not to minimize juniors skills here… back around 73/74 I helped out on a friends family turkey farm. Their birds won the PA Farm Show Blue Ribbon every year without fail. A limited number of us had to show up well before sunrise to hand catch turkeys for slaughter and processing every other day. There was a hired hand Jack, (if there was ever a guy that looked like the classic farmer he was it) who ran the pens and raising of the birds. He drove the tractor with wagons we stuffed the birds into to take to the processing build. The wagons had pivot tongues, so the front set of wheels were not fixed and could swivel freely. This guy would back up a tandem of wagons up a short steep ramp into a barn with only 5”s to spare in the dark… first try, everyday. If you have never backed up a single with a pivoting tongue you may not grasp what a feat that amounts to. Obviously I’ve never forgotten that and years later when I was on a farm here I came to fully appreciate his driving skills.
