The REAL short spey is back! They made an 8 weight!

I have a 4wt and a 7wt, and I always wished they made an 8 to use on the coast, but at that price, yikes. It's a bummer we've inflated up to this point, I guess when there are $1700 dollar rods on the market, $900 is now "mid-range".

Not to be a smart ass but what is short Spey? A new term?
Basically what I thought was the 12’ as the mark as in anything under was a switch rod and above was a Spey.

Real short spey? Is the rod different? Curious.

And yes at one time 900.00 was premium now it’s becoming higher mid price. Just wow
