Made my way to Distributary Creek this morning with the kayak and a new rod. My GoTo T&T No Sanctuary II 5 wgt is being repaired and I really didn't have another ultra-fast 5 wgt so I went all in on the new TFO Legacy 9' 5wgt which they tout as ultra-fast. First trip verified the marketing. Fished the same line as the T&T--SA SONAR 30 cold, 200 grain and it performed. Easy pickup of 30 feet of sink tip. 60-70' water loads easy. Shoots line like a rocket. The only downside is that the Legacy doesn't have a hook keeper. Not a showstopper but annoying.
It got christened this morning on Distributary Creek with a Brown that had some teeth and shoulders.
