The good boat deal thread

Just moved to Washington and needed a new watercraft for myself, ended up with one for my wife too! Bought these 2 lightly used Brooklyn Kayaks and the trailer with seats, paddles, carts, rod holders, auto inflating life vests, etc for $1500 total off of facebook marketplace. Deal of a century for me, can't wait to put these to use!

And this is just the beginning. In case no one told you, boats are a little bit like fly rods. You're gonna' find that you need another. And another. And . . .

If any of you guys are on the smaller side (like under 5'8") or have a kid you want to take fishing with you, this Micro Poke Boat is a rare find!
I have one I used for 15 years or so before I got my Hobie. They stopped making them many years ago, and I'll never give it up.
One-hand light, crazy stable, maybe 2" draft, and it fit inside my Mazda CX-5! It's 7.5' long.
I still use mine if I don't want a trailer, or I need to drag it a couple hundred yards in to a lake. The ability to just chuck it in the back of the SUV and go - no strapping, no waders - made a huge difference in starting energy to get out and fish.

There’s a nice looking catchercraft SRB raft and frame package on facebook marketplace in Lebanon, OR for $1500 including trailer. If it’s in good shape it would be a great drift boat alternative for someone. If I had a place to store it, I would probably already own it.

I own that same SRB raft and frame and it's an awesome raft for 2 people. If it's in decent shape 1500 is a steal!

Same package is now on Craigslist in Clark County for $2750. Someone saw a good deal and decided to flip it. Kinda lame.

I guess that's the capitalist way! Last year I talked to a boat seller in Lake Havasu that had the boat I was looking for... except it was in Lake Havasu. A month or so later the same boat showed up in SoCal for more than 2x the price. Granted it had been cleaned up a bit but not $18k worth of work! I talked to the CA seller and offered him the original price plus time and materials for the work he had done but he wasn't game. Oh well.

Everybody has a hustle I guess. That’s one hell of a transportation fee.
