Took the Leonard 66H out today, along with my Clearwater fast graphite with an indicator. Boy was that an odd feeling switching back and forth. After a couple turns the indicator rod just got set aside, the bamboo rod just felt so much more alive.

Dropped the inexpensive reel I got from Greywolf. Here I got it loaded with a WF5 sink tip. While I've fished 5's and 5.5's, I really felt it would have loaded better with a 6 for today's single wet fly application. A 5 works well with an indicator. Lots of trying still to do.

Found this rods best fish so far. Fit and angry. After two hot runs ending in showy leaps, at which point I was a couple turns from the backing, I started getting the better of it.

Had 2 hooks with leader in it's gut, one running all the way to a swivel. Nice and pink, I bet it'll be yummy at dinner time. My wife is stoked.
