Got a few smaller fish on a gurgler today. Hoping for a big one up top. Also would like a blue fish, but not many around yet.

Intermediate (usually) with weighted crab. Slow twitchy hopping and dragging
For a big one, it should be dark. Not quite as visual if you get it on top, but the sound is cool.
Yowza that looks like some fun.... Don't be shy about a roadtrip to Race point or Herring cove with some dirty gear work, chucking tin or big surface poppers on a dawn high....plus Wellfleet Bay could be a fun wade flats fish also, a little more structural and headland/point topography. That smack of a big striper on the surface is a hoot...Blues too
Today was gurgler action out on Monomoy Rip. Very dynamic challenging conditions, but we saw fish boiling and birds diving.
These things are hard to cast in the wind but worth the trouble!
Just like Mr. Boot said, the crazy crush of a big striper on the surface is addictive. They go cuckoo for coco puffs!
