Left Anchorage this morning from Merrill Field for Lava Creek Lodge

Landed at Pilot Point in the Aleutian Islands to switch planes for the short hop to the lodge…took three flights to transfer clients and gear…my buddy and I were on the last flight…not much room for dancing

Our Uber to the lodge…welcome to the tundra…nearest tree is 100 miles away

The main lodge bldg…the lunch of beef barley soup and cured silver salmon was excellent…

Fishing for silvers tomorrow…

Surprised to see they are using long tail mud motors as opposed to short shaft surface drives. So much easier to drive the surface drives. Looks like a cool trip!

Fished downriver today…20 to hand, lost countless fish…the majority were chrome with sea lice, with a few colored up bucks…
