lack of an effective running game should be concerning for the Hawks

Anyone check-in with Dimebrite, make sure he's ok? :)
Seattle is ahead of both Rams and 49’ers in yards per game.

Also 4th in rushing attempts/game. Agree in that their inability to score rushing TDS and settling for field goals is not ideal but Minnesota has a good run defense and still hung 130 yards on them.

Niners need to change their name to the Ductapers, cause that's the only thing holding that team together at present...those Camelot years of the 80's and 90's apparently came with a heavy karmic price tag.

I looked at he Seahawks passing stats again. JSN accounts for about 45% of their passing yards. I find that amazing.

16 yards per catch certainly helps a lot.

This leads to a couple of thoughts:

1. If the Seahawks have an MVP candidate its JSN.
2. Ohio State is as good as LSU at turning out WR's. Jeremiah Smith looks better than McLaurin, Wilson, Olave, Egbuka, Jameson Williams and Harrison JR. It's hard to say anyone can be better than JSN is being right now.
3. It seems like a poor way to structure an offense to be that reliant on one reciever. I can't believe this is planned.
4. Good thing the Seahawks, or at least Kenneth Walker, run the ball so well.
5. Justin Jeffferson had 1500 yards last year and averaged over 15/ catch with Darnold throwing it to him. Seems like Darnold has a tendancy to develop a co-dependant relationship with his deep threat.
6. My beloved Patsies had 24 catches on Monday. 7 players had 3 catches or more. This seems more like the way you would want a passing game to go.
7. The days are really short. I spend too much time thinking about the Seahawks offense. I'm not even a Seahawk fan. It's better than arguing my wife over things she did not do wrong.

Yeah, they are doing a good job of hanging around. A bye week followed by a Titans game will help, but the final 3 is going to be rough with the Bears, Colts, and your Hawks on deck. If they can win 2 of those 3 then they can make things interesting in the playoffs, but I don't really see that happening. Game 18 could be a fun one.

They do have a lot of picks in the early rounds next year, coupled with their 2nd and 3rd year players getting a lot of reps this year, a healthy Warner and Bosa, and some nice cap space and they should be legit next year.

They can likely get a fairly good pick for Mac Jones in a trade as well. I gotta believe one of the the Vikings/ Steelers/Jets/Cardinals/Raiders/Saints would be willing. Maybe a 3rd?

Raiders trade a high 2nd round pick for Jones, but 49IRs should try to hold onto him given Purdy's struggles the past two seasons.

This is why I think Maye will edge out Stafford for the mvp...if the vote was held today.

Total yards
Maye...3412
Stafford...3073

Completion percentage
Maye...71.5%
Stafford 66.3%

Yards per catch avg
Maye...8.8
Stafford...7.7

QBR rating
Maye...72.8
Stafford...67.0

Stafford does have 9 more td's and 2 less interceptions...but Stafford has two studs in Nacua & Adams to throw to, while Maye has one...Diggs...

The Raiders are not going to trade for Mac...and the Niners will keep him as a bkup to Purdy...that toe tendon injury is a bad one for qb's...

Stafford has played fewer games and plays a much tougher schedule, so unfair comparison (by yardage especially). Let's see how Maye does against the Bills and Ravens.

Depends whos on the scrap heap that they can fix again. If they can trade Jones and bring in somebody like Zack Wilson on the cheap thats a win win. A year under Shanahan seems to be a pretty solid career move for young talented guys. A low 2nd or high 3rd rounder would be nice.

Stafford is on pace for 6 picks. If he ends the season with 6 picks, he should win. He should probably win it anyway, being the best QB on hte best team. That is sorta how it usually works.

Having said that, there is no QB in the league that I would take over Maye if I were starting a team today. He is remarkably ahead of schedule and he is still visibly improving every week. Vrabel and their last place schedule are often cited as the main reason for the Pats record but as a guy who watches them weekly, Maye deserves the bulk of the credit. He has been that good. He is the actual most valuable player to his team but the award should go to Stafford at this point.

The next two games will be telling for the Pats. Their "thin" roster is being tested by injuries. They play a lot of rookies at premium positions who are due to hit a wall. Their schedule has been weak. They at least whole year ahead of schedule when it comes to a roster rebuild. It's all sort of gravy at this point.

I'm pleased that Mahomes, Allen, and Jackson have taken a back seat.

You are what your record is. Already beat the Bills once, in Buffalo, won't surprise me if he does it again.

Go Chiefs (need to sweep)

Wasn't Shedeur Sanders a lock for this ?

Lotta talk about the Patriots . I know schedules are schedules , but they have had it pretty easy compared to some , like your Rams . Patriots haven't seen the likes the of Broncos , Colts , or even the Chiefs this year , beat the Bills , lets see what goes in their second game with them .

Guess the Donkeys will just hang back, wait things out, pull it out in the end....again. 🤷‍♂️

Would be cool if they stopped forcing me on an emotional roller coaster on a weekly basis though.
