I wouldn't say it's "jealousy" necessarily. I'm sure I speak for a great many of us when I say that we're just tired of them. That absurd officiating and coddling ALL season last year was infuriating. As a lifelong Broncos fan, I've ALWAYS loathed the Chiefs.
 
It will be interesting to see how the Eagles play tonight. They are currently mimicking the Colts.

The Colts got unlucky with multiple Daniel Jones injuries, then the achilles tear yesterday. Now they are stuck with playing their 3rd string QB. Shane Steichen is an excellent coach.
 
The Mahomes comp is Elway. Like Mahomes, Elway could get it done in and out of the pocket. Mahomes has 7+ years left IMO.

Brady is not a comp for anyone. He's an outlier amongst outliers.

The Chiefs will be back. They have to replenish the ofensive side of the ball. The started Tyquan Thornton for F's sake. He is not a very good NFL player. It's really hard to be as good as they have been as long as they have been. You lose players and coaches as you go. You play extra games every year which adds up on the players bodies. A run like they have had is impressive.

It's good for the game in general to have different teams at or near the top. Stimulates the interest of the casual fan, and drives up ratings, which is the goal of the NFL business.

On a different note, Seahawks play a wounded Dolts team Sunday, then the Lambs the following Thursday. Big stretch for The Official NFL Franchise of PNWFlyfishing.com™️
 
Hawks basically get a bye this coming week playing the Colts with a rookie 3rd string QB, while the Rams have to face the Lions who have done well against them...Rams lose, and the following week likely be the money game for the west between two excellent teams.
Really enjoying the unpredictability of this season, we've seen enough of the Chiefs and Ravens ad nauseam...will never count out the Bills and their freak QB, Green Bay legit, don't trust Nix in a big game against a strong rush, Pat's reminiscent of the Niners at the beginning of their SB runs with a young team, hot QB, and damn good coaching.
For us Niner fans...gotta think there is going to be a strong demand for Jones who is still on contract for another year...keep him for just in case or trade him for players and picks?

The rookie 3rd string QB got hurt in practice today.
