dang, this is so close for one team having a couple turnovers plus getting sacked 8 times while not sacking the other guy once.

Allen lost the MVP race tonight. Bills lost the AFC East. Texans defense was excellent.

8 sacks. Allen spent more time on the turf than on his feet.

That last play was a total pick play and Allen still threw it to the wrong guy.

Pre snap reads and quick progressions remain the hallmark of a great QB.

Apparently the Bison halftime adjustments included having Allen hold on to the ball longer.

Those were some of the coolest looking red helmets I have ever seen. It would have looked better with their original team insignia on them then that ugly hollowed out nike type horn.

I think a lot of the alternates and throwback uniforms are so much better than the standards. Seahawks, Bucs and Texans topping that list.

He lost it well before this game. His MVP win was based somewhat on the Bills offense outperforming preseason expectations. This year the expectations were super high and the offense is underperforming.

If the Bills had a functioning defense they might have had a chance at the division but that ship has sailed.

It’s a dark, dreary day in Buffalo and the weather matches the cities mood.

And now the Texans have a winning record.
They'll be a wild card team I think could even get somewhere in the playoffs. It'll be interesting how the Colts do in this stretch of their schedule which includes Texans twice plus Seahawks.

I have to wonder if the Bills move on from McDermott after this season. He’s had a winning record over nine seasons but is .500 in the playoffs. Allen is 29 now and takes some big shots. The Bills just can’t seem to get over the hump and the window to win a championship doesn’t stay open forever.

No team wants to play the Texans in the playoffs. Those DE's were really athletic. They get after the QB rushing 4. That is the defensive secret sauce in the NFL and it has been for years. They were prety good against the run. They gave up the 45 yard run early but then settled down and bottled Cook up otherwise.

The Bills defense looks talentless at times. They really miss Ed Oliver. They were playing a back up QB last night and could not force a turnover. When you turn it over 3 times, that is a recipe for failure. The defense wasn't really awful but they seem to have no playmakers on that side of the ball. They seem old and slow. It becomes tough to have a deep enough roster to withstand injuries when you have a high proced QB, but Allen only takes up 13% of their salary cap. I guess they just haven't drafted all that well?

Nice win for the Texans. They helped out my beloved Patsies.

Davis Mills played very little in college @ Stanford some due to the covid thing. He never had a full season in college. He is probably one of the top tier back-ups in the NFL but not widely known.

Allen and Lamar, showcasing throughout their careers why having the best physical tools remain less important than the one between the ears.
Based on current NFL bias against running backs, the MVP now down to Stafford and Drake Maye, who already has Rookie of the Year locked down. The only player to have ever won both was Jim Brown during a time in which running backs were revered.
My fave of the season coming soon...slugfest games in snow and rain in non-dome stadiums

hence why having a good running game is key...

Maye is not a rookie, 2nd year guy.

Aiyuk hasn’t shown up to team meetings for months and the 9rs are terminating his guarantees for next year due to it and he’s choosing not to file a grievance which will make him a free agent.

So sounds like the 9rs are in the market for a wr
