Everyone played well, especially the defense.
Darnold did not.
Still came down to the last play.
Another shot in December at home.

He actually played well in the 4th quarter. Had some moments earlier on as well. Those turnovers were just killers and shouldn't have happened. He needs to learn when to take a sack vs huckin it.
 
Panic decisions to throw rarely pan out if you're an NFL QB...bad things happen most of the time it seems.
 
Looking forward to see how Ashton Jeanty does tonight. He was so much fun to watch when he was at Boise State.
 
When the announcers say Jeanty needs to step up his game on pass blocking, something is wrong. Yeah, he can improve but how about the o-line create some holes for him to run through to slow down the pass rush rather than creating holes for pass rushers to get to your QB?

Pete and Chip really need to be put out to pasture.

Pete absolutely was a great coach. He's not that guy now though and his worst tendencies are on full display with this team. I don't think giving him a couple years will make it better. I know he didn't inherit much to work with, but he did nothing to make the situation better.

Hiring Chip and using a top of the 1st round draft pick on an undersized RB who can't block were terrible ways to start things off.
