Tetairoa

Of course, missed the next four fish…one I wrapped the line around the reel handle…good by fly. Wrapped the line around my thumb…goodbye fish (thank god it wasn’t a GT)…but after awhile I was getting the hang of it…

Decent day…half a dozen in the 3-4 lb range, half a dozen in the 5-6 lb range, and three in the 8 lb range…I was unable to take pics of the nicest fish…my phone was in the sun and shut down…I actually put it in the cooler so I could use it again

Might be the best way to rinse off the gear…

Looks like a great time, beautiful place, and oh man, I am drooling over the food.

As Don Meredith used to sing ... "Turn out the lights, the party's over ..."

Clouds make it so tough on a bonefish flat.
I bet you'll see and catch plenty. Clouds are only a problem if wind waves arrive.
Well…I learned a couple things today…

Throwing a 12wt for two hours is a young man’s game…but lost two big GT’s on the coral heads…massive takes on a popper is heart attack stuff.

I did manage to land an omilu on the 10wt…and lost two big aha (I think they are called houndfish) on poppers.
