Non-Fly SWW semi-dirtbag trib nookie

Been so busy this year I haven't gotten my WA license, or fished (in WA) this year. The August rain we've had was enough to get my license this AM and head for a local spot.

Was going to fly fish pocket water, but my FF gear is a mess so just grabbed the spin rod, flies and some split shot.

River was up just enough to put fish on the move, and in spite on my late start found this little hatchery buck in a foamy slot.

Love it when it rains in late August.

My nose said this was a tule, my eyes said upriver. It cut orange for a tule but not the red/orange a bright URB should.

Looking forward to the smoked product regardless, but would be interested to hear opinions? (minus comments on my rusty fillet skilz)

Man, I just have a rough time on the last minute stuff right now....although, that could change in 2 weeks or 3 depending...

Looks like a tule Chinook to me. Not much fat between the muscle flake lines.

The hatchery on the _________ is technically tule stock, but I've always wondered if there might be some URB genetics?
