SW Washington Kids Events May 16th

There are more volunteer kids fishing events coming up on May 16th. At Horseshoe Lake in Woodland, the Moose Lodge is hosting an annual kids fishing derby, and on that same date, Columbia Springs is hosting their Kids Fishing Fest. I will be volunteering at the Columbia Springs event.

The Columbia Springs Kids Fishing Fest today was a resounding success. As a fishing mentor, I was assisting kids in catching two Rainbow Trout, but the fish were so cooperative, we kept running out of kids to assist! The average was probably around 4 minutes for them to catch their 2 fish! The weather, despite the forecast, was wonderful during my shift (7:30 - 11:30) and I was home by Noon! (napping, of course...)
