NFR Superb Owl 2026: Seahawks vs Patriots (official thread)

Non-fishing related
Huh...

Did you get some sort of special dispensation from a Donkey Deacon, Bronco Bishop type person to be able to do that ?
Payton might put a bounty out on you...

I'm not sure if The Official NFL Franchise of PNWFlyfishing.com™️ Your Seattle Seahawks are currently accepting any former Denizens of the Domiciled Donkey, (Bronco Bitches as colloquially known) applications for fandom...but will check and see.

Till then, it's Go Stiddy for you...
;)
Lesser of two evils is what it really boils down to...

This is superbowl 60. This will be the patriots 12th superbowl. That means that the Patriots have been in 20% of all superbowls. That is pretty good, right?
The teams first was 1985. Since their 1st, the have been in 12 of 40 superbowls that is like 30%. It seems like they have been in the big game quite cosistently.
This Seattle's 4th right?
Oh, 30%, which is most of them according to @RCF math.

Yeah I understand...

If it had been Donkeys v. Lambs
I would have gone fishin'...
And wished for the SMOD.

"most" actually means the "majority of", which would be >50%, so your 33% is quite far off on that designation.

Honestly, I just want to see a good game....probably rooting for the Chickens, but we'll see.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Patsies kept it close and even won it close. I also wouldn't be surprised if the SeaChickens run away with it. The only thing that would really surprise me is the Patsies winning in a blow out.
OK, I'm going to really nerd out here on the English language. It depends on context and how you write it, ie, whether the article "the" is included. Wrote a Clinical Study Report where one of the Sponsor's reviewers wanted to change "the most" to "most"; the change would have been incorrect. A made up example: In a study of 100 participants, 50 stopped treatment early; 20 due to disease progression, 10 due to adverse events, 10 due to withdrawal of consent, 5 due to Protocol Deviations, and 5 due to "other reasons". So, "Disease progression was the reason for early discontinuation for the most participants" - this is correct. "Disease progression was the reason for early discontinuation for most participants" this is incorrect.

So there have it all you language purists. Now, carry on.

get the fuck outta here....this isn't quite that deep  . I am perfectly aware of your 'context' provided and it really has zero to do with the original statement. But thank you for providing examples that I would understand your point, however invalid in this instance.

At least i can distract @Stonedfish easily with meaningless drivel.

Carry on....

I'm 30% right 100% of the time.

While we're speaking about mostest, I fear I neglected to mention, not only have the Kansas City Chiefs won the most Super Bowls since 2020, they have won most Super Bowls since 2020.

Have a wonderful rest of your day.

Cheers and Go Chiefs (2026 edition)

Who are the fans of the lesser teams rooting for ?
Those who are fans of teams that lost in the playoffs (Donkeys, Lambs etc.), the so called loser teams (Chefs), or teams that just never get this far, (Lions, Browns etc) ?
Or are those fans just here so they don't get fined ?
;)

For the lesser of two evils? For example, Steelers fans will NOT root for the Browns or the Ravens.

So, they probably don't care much...

Just to make it interesting in our neighborhood, a few of us have the permanent Christmas lights , two of us got the Patriots colors going , one other neighbor ,moved here from Seattle , of course got the Seachicken colors going . :D I had the Rams colors going during the conference game , didn't help much . :p

It's too bad the Donkeys weren't playing, there'd be better banter...
🙂
