Summer bass bender (pic drop)

I have done a crap job of posting trip reports lately so let me take you on a summer bass bender from the last few weeks...
It started out with a smallie trip in the bass boat:These things fight like they are just mad at the world:Don't be afraid to dead drift poppers and especially target any duck blinds you come across. They are often built for a reason be it a point or change in depth or something:Bingo:I thought this pond was cycling poorly but the live well shot says otherwise...Putting your hand in a livewell of pissed off smallies is not for the faint of heart

Next morning had me zipping out for a quick largemouth bite:Potholes is just a hoot. A true bass heaven:Next up will be an adventure with my side kick:

I was wondering, Is that little house you showed for rent in the summer time. Could be a steal and on a bass pond.

It's got an old wood trim on it that makes me wonder if at some point in time someone tried to convince a lady to stay there...

can you imagine how pissed she must of been to show up to that snake hell hole???

Yep, great report and pics. I’m curious—on the live well (and hell of a bag!)—was that for a tourney, filets, fun, something else?

I just did it for fun. It's very rare. I think I have done it 3 times total since owning boat. All with smallmouth. They were not in there very long and water was nice and cool.

With all the tall grass you should also wear some strong bug spray to keep the tick's at bay.

On a breezy day they will have action on their own. Generally my adhd won't let me leave them totally dead but sometimes that seems what they want.

I've gear-fished a few LMB lakes where the pressure is high and you need to dead stick. I bought an egg timer (before cell phones) to keep my adhd at bay.
