Suggestions For Battery Nav Lights For Kayaks Or Small Boats

I did some searching and found several inexpensive sets that are USB rechargeable. Has anyone had any experience with various options?
The purpose would be for fishing into dark at inland lakes. The odds of enforcement citing a person would probablybe low but I worry about the crazies and what seems to be inevitable boat crashes every year.
Although this one looks like an easy answer I got a chuckle out of it.

Seriously, I have these velcroed on to a couple of my rc airplanes.

Gluing a few pieces of velcro to my kayak, pram, or hat just might be the answer.

Yak Attack has the Visi Pole, which combines a high vis orange flag for daytime, and a 360 white light on top.

I bought this years ago, and have never used it, as by dark I am sitting next to a campfire with beverage in hand. I check the batteries yearly and it still works great.
Not cheap but meets all USCG regulations.
Not willing to let go of either.

I have some red and green LEDs that I can velcro to my oarlocks or hang off the rail on the drifter. However, the only time I'm out after dark is for the hex hatch, so brief and not far from the ramp

All sorts of headlamps work just fine...and reduce the chance of stumbling around a dark launch site or inadvertently leaving fishing gear when departing.

In most jurisdictions you only need a white light on a vessel at night, and I suspect the bright light from a headlamp will do a better job of being spotted when it's directed at the operator of a speeding motorboat.

After reading your post I would say that you're mostly right and only a "dick" enforcement officer would push anything different if they could tell that you gave it "the old college try".
That said, I watched this rather lengthy video and saw that it's somewhat clear as mud.

That’s what I want to see when I am leaving the dock in the dark on the first morning of chinook season! Some of the kayakers who go out of crowded launches with just a headlamp are taking a huge and unnecessary risk. They are really hard to see from behind, which is of course where all the boats are coming from. I appreciate the ones who have as much light as possible, visible from all directions, mounted as high up as possible.

A trick I learned years ago was to get a 4 D cell lantern and put it inside the hull after turning it on. Depending on the kayak, it lights up the whole boat from the inside. Yellow OK's and White Hobies, when they made them, couldn't be missed.

I pretty well did this exact same with this product.
The 16’ fiberglass boat I just bought has no bow light, so I found this Navilight and it may finally be put to use!
