Stillwater Temps - At what temperature should we cease trout fishing?

The Optical Dissolved Oxygen sensors are soooo much easier to use and require much less frequent calibration than previous technologies. They are not super cheap, but you could learn a lot about a lake by looking at temperature and dissolved oxygen. pH is easy to measure by a couple methods. You could record Secchi depth in lieu of measuring turbidity.
 
Just a suggestion. Unless things have changed, there used to be a Regional Biologist in Ephrata. Why not approach this person? Perhaps they might have the data you are looking for and who knows, they might even have DO measuring devices???? Or how about upping everyones license fee by a few cents and have the experts buy this equipment so we can settle this issue.
