I saw something like that on a footbridge over the Yakima and thought it was a great idea. I'd definitely put a favorite fly in your box if I saw it.So, I decided I would try this project, as I have seen one once before.
It isn't pretty but for the first one it should be fine.

I leave some in about 2-4 trees every time I fish my favorite little blue line. Been doin’ it for a number of years now.If you know where to look, there are certain trees on some fishing runs where a very informal version of this is already in play and has been for a long time. I know of 3-4 trees on trout and steelhead runs where some people tend to leave a fly that worked. Bit of a brag on the steelhead rivers really.
