St Joe in April?

I am thinking about heading over to visit my sons in Pullman and then spending a couple days on the the St Joe the second week of April. What can I expect for water and fishing conditions this time of year? Thanks in advance for your input.

The spring can be special! Water will be higher then what most are used to but the fishing can be good. Especially if the sun comes out… that is always key for some happy cutties.

Stay lower on the river. Calder, Huckleberry area. If you have access to a floatation device I’d highly recommend it!
