Does anyone have any experience or success fishing for SRC in the lower Willamette or Columbia estuary area? I know they are in there, but I don't know how many or if the fishery is really worth the effort given how big the rivers are.
If it is worth fishing, are the strategies you use more similar to those you would use to catch them while they are migrating or while they are feeding? I have had success in smaller rivers on the coast year-round by looking for tidal rips like you would in the Sound, but I don't know if that is applicable here or if they are only available in the fall.
