The Sorby sharpening system is perfect for sharpening gouges to be used on a lathe. I had a lathe for a while and never really got the hang of it. So I sold it and now I still have the sharpening system. It’s up for sale but truth be known if there’s a young person who’s just getting started I’d be willing to give it to them. Maybe even an adult if this is something they’re just getting into.
