Just out on the Sol Duc yesterday. Hadn’t been on the Bear Ck section for a while. At this particular spot you need to cut right at a very small, not obvious side channel, otherwise you end up here!
Anybody know the details? I don’t.
The flow yesterday was a couple foot below normal winter flows. This would have been a rough place to flip.
The small side channel has changed significantly as well. It’s filled in to the point we had to drag our rafts. If your ever planning on floating this section be aware of these changes. Obviously it can cause some problems!
