Last time targeting these this year? Maybe :).

Took the day to make it a 4 day weekend and give myself the chance to hit a popular smallie lake before the weekend crowd. Same lake as last weekend. Not quite as productive but still put my hands on a dozen or so over the course of the morning. Same as last weekend, from babies to solid fish.

Hit a different lake today. It was quiet which is about all you can ask for on a Holiday weekend. Fishing was a little slow but landed enough to keep it interesting. Mix of smallies and LMB. Mostly fly but also got a few on gear throwing a weedless frog into snaggy cover.
