Sold. Wright and McGill Granger 9050 Victory bamboo fly rod. 5.4 oz. 9’ 3/2. I acquired this rod from PNW Fly Fishing member Para Adams in 2019. Am selling because I have five 9' bamboo fly rods and this rod doesn't get fished enough. 7 inch reversed half wells grip with smooth uplocking reel seat. Black and orange jasper wraps. Dark ammoniated cane characteristic of Granger rods. Wright and McGill and Granger Victory logos are clear. Varnish in decent shape. Ferrules are snug and separate with a nice pop. Comes with partitioned Granger bag and black rod tube with Wright and McGill Granger label. Scott Whitman has scarfed and refinished one tip. A true 6 weight. A great rod for lowland lakes, kamloops trout or coastal cutts in rivers. Wright and McGill Granger Victory fly rods were made between 1947 and 1956. Michael Sinclair says this in Granger Rods:“Victory fly rods may represent about 40-50% of all Granger rods made. This grade was made only in the most popular models and that may help explain why so many of them were sold and why so many have survived.” You're welcome to cast this before you buy if you want to come to Kirkland.
