Thinning out my fly fishing library. Wanted to give the opportunity to this forum's readers before I post the books at higher prices on the auction site. Happy to deliver them in person (western Washington) or to post media mail if you pay postage. Media mail postage should be approx $5 per book.

Sold Lakes of Washington Volume 1 Western Washington by Ernest Wolcott. 1965. A survey of lakes in Western Washington including their elevation location and and details of what kind of fish are in each lake. Some of the lakes have maps showing depth. This was how we used to find fishing leads in a pre-internet world. $10 plus postage


Sold Fly fishing for Sea Run Cutthroat by Chester Allen 2012. The most book on western washington salt water cutthroat fishing includes chapters on spring fishing summer fishing fall fishing and winter fishing including many pictures and fly patterns. $10 plus postage

Sold The Waters of Yellowstone with Rod and Fly by Howard Back originally published in 1938 this is a 2000 Lyons press reprint. An amazing historical overview about what it was like to fish Yellowstone Park after World War One. Back fished the Widows Pool (now part of Red Rocks National Wildlife Preserve) 80 years before John Gierach. $10 plus postage.

Sold. The Art of the Wet Fly by Roger Fogg. 1979 The brits have been fishing wet flies much longer than we have. Has chapters on The history of wet flies tying and fishing techniques and a discussion of what wet fly patterns imitate what insects. Focuses mainly on the UK but many of the patterns can be fished successfully in the US. I know because I have. $5 plus postage

That Lakes of Washington is a gem if you’re into alpine lakes
I've really enjoyed mine, purchased it at the old Capital hill REI if my memory is correct?
 
It was quite the place with that sloping walkway between building 1 & 2. And it always smelled of creosote.
