Quite a few central Washington lakes close September 30th. I believe it’s to protect migratory birds. Oh and we saw a rattlesnake at the launch of a lake this past Sunday.

As for rattlesnakes, generally don’t see many after Halloween but usually 10+ days into November they’re bedded down. Always exceptions. And some areas are different. But I’m sure most are still out and active as of now.
