Snakes & Ticks

I’m planning to take my dad over to RFC, in the first week of November. Every thread I read, about RFC, mentions snakes and ticks. I assume they’re not a concern in November, but can anyone confirm that?

I don’t mind wearing gaiters or doing a permethrin spray, but I would rather avoid the hassle if it is definitely unnecessary.

Yer gonna be safe from snakes and ticks in November.
When I used to fish RFC Oct. to March were some of the best times on the creek.
My go to flies were olive scuds in size14, olive mini leach in #12s, and a #10 light gold glo bug.
