This is not intended to be a bash on Simms thread. I have a lot of their products, and for the most part I think they make good stuff. But I do have a couple of bones to pick....
I posted on the old WFF site about the seam tape delaminating on my Simms G3 waders that were less than 2 years old. I received a fair amount of crap from some members for my thinking it should have been a warranty repair instead of a paid repair. Well, that was in November of 2020 and here we are less than 2 years later and the seam tape on the replacement booty's is starting to delaminate again... You would think after being in the wader business for over 40 years that they would have the glue thing figured out.
Time for me to get the Aquaseal out and nip it in the bud, but I really don't think this should be happening to $550 waders in less than 2 years.
They also have a known defect in their Flyweight wading boots with the cloth eyelets for the lacing system failing after a short period of use, but they continue to produce this design without addressing this problem. It's too bad, because they are some of the most well-fitting boots I have ever used, but they only last a season or two before the lacing system is toast.
