Shrimp pot marauder!

If you put a lobster in a jar, in a tank with an octopus, the octopus will quickly "learn" how to unscrew the lid. This is outside of natural animal behavior.
Even more remarkable, if an untrained octopus in a neighboring tank observes a trained octopus unscrewing the lid of a glass jar to extract a crab, the untrained octopus will immediately copy that behavior when offered the same opportunity. An octopus can learn by observing the actions of another individual.

In the Vancouver, B.C. aquarium, crabs were disappearing from a tank. Staff finally found the reason, when they put a closed circuit TV in the area overnight. An octopus in a nearby tank was climbing out of its tank, crawling across the floor, then into the crab tank, eating crab, then returning to its tank before dawn.

I used to soak in teriyaki after cleaning and scrubbing them with Hawaiian salt...slice individual tentacles...then grill.

"how do you make an octopus laugh?"..."ten tickles"...

I think I like them better than shrimp...

Well, we were waiting for the "recipes for spot shrimp"...
I don't eat those, either! (Although I'm reasonably sure I'm smarter than a prawn)
My husband, however, is preparing them tonight for guests - sautéed with some spices and served with a parm risotto and grilled cabbage steaks. I will be having entrée #2; fresh caught, grilled ling cod 😋
