Neither. It is a resort, but far different from the usual. It’s a typical managers cabin from the sugar plantation days. In the 70s after the sugar industry played out, they “parked out” this area by the bay, and moved these cabins down from the foothills. So there are about 30 rustic (but comfortable) cabins comprising the Waimea Plantation Cottages. I’m not fond of fancy resorts, but this is the most serene place I’ve ever been to, anywhere. Feels like coming home every time.
So you took the plunge, huh.
