Those stealth bombers with the blue legs or orange legs are awesome. Is that a pattern you tie? If not and you bought them ….can you DM me the source ?

There is a small lake with a campground on the way to Baker Lake that has stocked trout and Largemouth Bass. I got there, about noon Friday. Never fished it before. Put in my float tube.. gear fishing with unweighted green Senkos. My first thought was where do I start? Pilings, lily pads, sticky shoreline? Pilings everywhere but no bites. Lily pads got me a quick little bass and I was stubborn to get more out of the Lilly pads. Finally I went in to the "sticks". Just trees with branches that had fallen into the shallow water. That was where the Bass were. I got about seven in short order. Nothing big, but tons of fun.

I like "weedless". This term, to me, means any presentation that I can consistently cast into areas that 99% of anglers would get "snagged" 99% of the time. This is often the key to Bass fishing. Once the fish has been hooked, the "snags" often do not matter. It is the act of presenting an offering in this most "snaggy" areas that greatly increase strikes.

Fly fishing with a popper can be accomplished in a "weedless" way using various methods. I fished "around" the sticks with no luck. As soon as I stopped worrying about snags... the fish bit almost every time.
