SFR Camping in the rain

An honest tune with a lingering lead
My hat goes off to you wet siders. I don't see how you guys do it.

I'm up on the river and it is pouring. Heck I'm even in a camper watching tv, playing on the internet, having hot tea...and this is still brutal.

Any tips you can share to survive in the wet? This could get serious....I might have to turn up the heat and take a hot shower.

Lots of tarps. With some Bungie cords incorporated into the tarp rigging.

I have an awning on my camper but pretty sure it is not to be used during the rain. It also can't be used when there is a breeze.

Actually, the awning is not really that useful at all.

Great idea. I might put my waders on and walk around the camper.

sounds like you're really roughin' it....I'm praying that you'll make it through ok.

It’s just something you can get used to. I’ve camped and slept on the ground in the rain in waders and a rain coat. As long as you have gear that keeps you warm that is all that matters.

@swimmy
Next winter try a night or two of snow camping. Either in a tent, self-dug snow shelter (there are several types) or igloo type build. It will change things. Today won’t seem too bad.
Skin up your boards during the day- you will be a different type of camper
