While bobber fishing for trout today…..a lot of sipping action going on in the shallows. Most were small bass but then I got into some big crappies! I kept seven nice ones for a Friday fish fry! 20+ small bass and 19 trout C&R’d as a bonus. Sorry about the crappy crappie picture….

Oh man……we’re those fish tasty!! Kerri beer battered them and with some cold ones what an awesome dinner! As we were eating I said these crappie were swimming at this time yesterday!

Sounds delicious! I think crappie are the best tasting of the spiny rays here in WA (not that I eat that many spiny rays). Crappie are usually big enough to make it worth the effort to fillet them.

Rex, I prefer halibut but not too many local lakes stock them! Also a little much for my bamboo….
