Scarf joint glue

I have been using Titebond III and Elmer’s Glue All Max, which glue do you use or prefer?

I know nothing of bamboo rod building, but as a finish carpenter I am sold on Titebond III. It remains flexible, and bonds well.

When I first started making rods, I used Elmer's Ultimate. It worked well but now I'm using Unibond 800. I also just glued up a rod with Resorcinol with good results.

I too was a commercial carpenter and finish carpenter......but bamboo is more fun!

I’ve had thoughts, when I get to the semi retirement stage I will pursue it further. I will lurk and learn until then.

Some of my older scarf joints are failing….I used Elmer’s Glue All Max. I wonder if using zip ties to hold the joint together if I’m tightening them too much? I know….too many fish! What do you use Tom Bowden??
