Any one using one and what lines for a 813-4 Z?

Thinking Rage 540-570 with tips?

To be used on the OP rivers in WA.

I don’t know the Z, but I think you are on point with your guess. 540 Rage has no problem with T-11. If you have to buy a line, seriously consider the Gaelforce EMT 8/9.

Been told 510-540 with the Rage line. Do you use certain tips? Polyleaders? To get the fly down when you want to?

In past years I used 5-7.5 ft of T14. This year I was throwing it with the OPST 12 foot tips, I think 124gr or 132 gr, whichever it is. When I put on the higher density tip (bucket), I would get a lot more stick on the anchor and it was a lot more work. But the weight itself didn’t seem to be an issue. But if you’re hucking heavy tips, a true Skagit is easier of course. But I love my Rage.
