Sage Spey Reel II

Almost bought the first version of this reel when it came out, but the clicker was just too quiet. My interest peeked when I saw that they added a second clicker to this version, so I picked one up online. Got the 5/6/7 and paired it with my Sage X 6120. My thoughts so far:

• perfect match for the rod, balances and looks just right.
• Solid build and design, full frame with an exposed rim for 'manual' drag. Everything looks and feels smooth and refined.
• The clicker is louder than the first version, but it's no Hardy, not even close
• The sealed drag and the indexed knob for setting it is made really well.

Do you think this would balance well with a Sage X 7130 as well. Not sure if I should go with this one or the next size up. Thanks for reviewing the reel.

I have an X 7130 -- LOVE that rod. I have a Hardy Marquis on mine. I would go the the 6/7/8 on the 7130. The 5/6/7 would work but I think the larger size would allow more backing and fit the rod better.

Another feature on this reel that I really like is how the reel foot it rounded off so you can wrap your leader or fly line around it without kinking or damaging anything, see the pic below. Super simple idea not sure if that's something new or if other reels do this.
