Sage LL 279 line recommendations

Looking for some line recommendations for a new to me classic Sage LL 279.

I'm back and forth between a RIO Trout LT or Wulff Triangle Taper, but open to suggestions.

Rod will be used exclusively as a single dry fly rig.

I fish a 486-2 LL and love it with a double taper.

Might help a bit:

BTW have you considered Cortland Peach lines? Great dry fly lines that hold up very well. Match moderate rods well too...

I use a DT and a Triangle taper on my 389LL. Hard to beat that Peach Cortland 444 DT line. I really like it on my smaller trout rods.

So I've got the old school GFL LL, Graphite III from the 90s, not the new Konnetic HD Trout LL. Much different action.

I wondered about if original series or not. Thanks for the clarification. The Cortland 444/ Peach was made back then and still is. Could be a good match.

Edit: Just saw your post and you are correct about 2 weight :(. Dayum...

Any particular DT line you like on your LL Zak?
I wish I could remember! It's been on so long that the cracked and raggedy half is toward the reel now and the newer half still has a couple years to go, probably. I have a Jim Teeny DT on deck for when this one gives up the ghost.

On a different rod I have a 5wt Rio LightLine DT, but I rarely use that rod so can't really comment on the line.

On my 6wt RPL I have the Wulff triangle taper and I love it. I have not cut it back. It does not feel "front heavy" but it added maybe 20' to my cast over the DT I had on it before. But I don't think you are going for distance with your new rod. More delicacy, I imagine. DTs are good for that, and mend nicely.
