Rogue River Questions

If it's a family trip and you're close to Ashland you may want to check it out... nifty little town with lots of interesting shops.

Got back this weekend. We stopped into fish for an afternoon on the Rogue above the lake. Just picked a campground and worked the stream up and down river. Was able to get into plenty of rainbows (guessing they were stocked fish) in the 8-12" range. The water was indeed quite cold. I was wet wading and was wishing I had waders. My boys said it was colder than Crater Lake and based off how quickly they got out of the water I believe them. The fish were holding in slower deeper pools. I got all my fish nymphing (jiggy pats and a prince nymph). Beautiful river to fish on!! Thanks again to everyone for the advice.
