Incredibly rare, collectible, and complete Roberto Pragliola Modular Rotary Fly Tying Vise System System - Complete with Signed Pedestal & C-Clamp (Florence, Italy). Custom-machined in small batches in Florence, Italy, by the legendary pioneer of the TLT (Tecnica di Lancio Totale) casting method, Pragliola’s tools are celebrated by angling historians for their distinct Italian craftsmanship, beautiful machining, and modular functionality.

This is a premium, complete desktop and travel kit that features both original anchoring options, making it a highly coveted find for bench tiers and vintage fly fishing gear collectors alike.

Included in This Kit:
  • True Rotary Vise Head & Angled Extension Stem: Features a smooth inline rotary mechanism controlled by a large, textured aluminum wheel. Mounted on a heavy-duty, angled stainless steel rod.
  • Matching Signed Pedestal Base: A heavy, crinkle-finish black circular base featuring the authentic gold "RP" emblem. The base includes three integrated magnetic/retaining pockets at the front for securely holding hooks, beads, or small parts while tying.
  • Heavy-Duty Table C-Clamp: A solid aluminum clamp block elegantly stamped with the official maker's mark: "R. Pragliola FLORENCE • made in italy •". Equipped with a threaded brass collet lock.
  • L-Shaped Bobbin Cradle / Material Clip: An original black powder-coated accessory arm that mounts directly to the base or clamp to keep your tying thread or long materials clear of the hook during rotary wrapping.
  • Interchangeable Jaw Sleeves: Three matching black conical jaw collets/inserts to accommodate a wide variety of wire gauges and hook sizes. T
Condition:
The entire system is in excellent, vintage condition. The mechanical adjustments turn smoothly, the brass collets lock tightly, and the cosmetic markings (both the stamped engraving on the C-clamp and the gold crest on the pedestal base) are crisp and fully intact. The vise has been well cared for in a smoke-free tying room.
