SOLD RL Winston Rods - A Couple of 6wts

Have a couple of Winston 6wt rods available:

Winston IM6 9ft 6wt 3pc, #51xxx serial.
Rod is in excellent shape with only the lightest signs of use. Comes with original case and sock.

Winston B3X 9ft 6wt 4pc
Rod is “high mileage” but functions perfectly. The middle sections have been replaced by Winston. Hook keeper is missing and blank shows some light scuffs. All guides are tight. Cork is clean. Comes with original sock and a B2X tube. Will also throw in a used Winston Energy WF6 line that’s in great shape.

I expect the B3X is the more versatile rod, but I’ve been interested in the older WT/IM6 6wt for a long time. Some day maybe I’ll find out if the wait was worth it.
For the two guys out there that might actually know, which would be the consummate single hand Spey rod, as well as a great general 6wt. THAT might press the golden buzzer.

I cannot speak to the Spey fishing aspect, but in my opinion, the B3X is more versatile than the IM6. The B3X has a livelier tip and is stiffer through the handle whereas the IM6 has a deeper flex point and would be more suited to big dry / dropper or nymph rigs. The B3X is 1/2oz lighter and 4-pc if any of that is of consideration to you.
