Thanks!

Maybe @Josh and I should make a page with all this.

Only we'll need to include rivers in a couple other states, too :p

While not a river forecast site; I do like it for current and historical data purposes…

After a few, months, or years on this site; you begin to see a stream’s patterns after a flood event…

My favorite blue line has had higher, for a longer duration than in years past… will be interesting to see the river bed changes…and where the fish are holding up this year.

FYI…that blue line is currently around 5’. The last three seasons, it was around 3.5 by this time. A good water year so far.

I find NOAA's National Weather Service Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service (AHPS) with it's 3 days prior - current + 5 to 7 day look ahead CFS prediction based on the past weather and upcoming weather forecast is very helpful for trip planning with the subset of USGS river level gauges they cover.

That would be awesome.

Especially if folks chimed in with “fishes best at X to Y cfs”.

Like, MF Snoqualmie is pretty good at 500-800cfs.

What's wrong with using the USGS Current conditions. One click and I'm there for Montana. It was the same when I was in Washington. But I went a little farther in Washington. I used the Ecology site. It listed skinny water that wasn't on the USGS site.

It’s people like you that would pare the internet down to one page and my garage to one fly rod.

:)

The internet is fun to play around on why do you try to take all the fun out of playing on the internet. When you have the USGS page Book marked, one click and your there. If you add a page to the site. You will have to keep it up because most sites change all the time. They think that it need changing when it's right the first time.

By the way, I have 8 fly rods. Not one. but I can only fish with one rod at the time. I only have two arms.

Somehow this list doesn't include the Pend Oreille River which is second in size only to the Columbia in Washington. It is currently running over 100,000 cfs. That is more volume than the next 5 biggest rivers in the state combined! 4X more than the Skagit right now.

It is pretty impressive being in minor flood stage, the Metaline City Park is under water with some fish rising under the swing sets! It bodes well for fall fishing, lakes are all full and streams much higher than usual. And today is the first day of 80 degree temps in the area, still in the 40's at night just now inching into the 50's. Yesterday I believe Spokane had it's first 80 degree day-two weeks later than the previous latest day.

The climate isn't changing-it has already changed!

I’m sure that‘s not the only one missing from the list. Feel free to add links to what is missing.

Another tool in the toolbox for scouting & planning. Provides some additional data too; i.e. water temp, ph, diss. oxygen...

These flows have been killing me....the annual "river is open, but too high to fish" suffering has been extended far too long. My river is fishable at 5000 CFS but still not primo. Doesn't matter...my cousin is coming over this weekend, we're gonna tie on the sink tips and the big meat, get the raft out and send it. Might even get lucky and hit a yellow sally hatch.

Well it ended up being very slow fishing. One bull trout about 10" for 10 miles of river. We hammered the eddies and holding water every spot we could with sink tips and all manner of streamers. It just wasn't happening. Beautiful float as always though.
