Root Sports NW (and its predecessors) has been on the air for nearly 40 years, launching in 1988 as Northwest Cable Sports. The network underwent several rebranding's, including Prime Sports Northwest and Fox Sports Northwest, before officially becoming Root Sports in 2010, with the Seattle Mariners taking full ownership in 2023 before it ceased operations at the end of 2025.
It has provided some of my fondest sporting memories over the years. This past year being able to watch almost every Mariners game during a great run toward the WS, It will be sorely missed...
