As a certified hater, there's schadenfreude here for me. Pre-launch, I was actually quite intrigued by the truck and thought it might be something I'd own one day, looks be damned. What actually delivered was an absolute (literal and figurative) dumpster fire.

I particularly like this quote:
Was almost shocking and got to be kind of funny watching this disaster in slow motion. Seeing how horribly they were built, watching guys try to actually use them as a truck (especially off road) and failing spectacularly. Just really incredible that a company went through such great lengths to push this to market despite cooler heads trying to prevail. What happens when you load the board of directors with your buddies I guess.

The Cyberdud Is Cyberdead: Tesla Cybertruck Officially Ending Production
Musk's controversial pickup truck is getting canceled — what's next for Tesla?
I particularly like this quote:
Days after the reveal, Musk announced that he had more than 250,000 pre-orders for the truck. That figure eventually climbed to well over one million. But when the production truck finally arrived in 2023, it cost $61,000 instead of the promised $39,900. However, even that $61,000 truck had been delayed until 2025, and would only have a 250-mile range instead of the 500-mile range Musk promised. The first actual trucks delivered were $79,990 and had an estimated 340-mile range.
In 2023, Musk predicted sales of 250,000 trucks per year. Reports put the actual number sold in the three years since first deliveries at just around 71,000... total.
