NFR RIP Capt Insano Emeritis

Non-fishing related
Oof, sorry to hear. Skip was one of one!

🍻

RIP. Sad news. Had I known that he lived in the Camas/Washougal area, I would've attempted to drag him out for a beer and a music chat.

Skip had a very special gift, when he captured life in his watercolors.

I recall one painting of a wooded, stone strewn, shaded stream. He captured the very essence of the clarity, flowing, and reflective nature of water…so much so, that viewing it made the stream come to life for me.

Lately, I have been seeing many of my friends post (on FB) some very vibrant and colorful sunsets. I would like to think that God has commissioned Skip to continue to pursue his passion and journey in heaven.

As Clarkman mentioned, he was definitely “one of one”.

Here’s to the Capt’n… salute!! 🍻 🥂

Condolences to his family and friends! He will be missed! RIP Skip and keep fishing up above us!

Ran into him once at the Washougal feed store, and again at a gallery show in Vancouver.

I felt a connection with him sharing many of the same fishing haunts on the Washougal and other area spots. As a fellow artist and gardener, I will always be in awe of his talents in both.

He will be missed.

RIP, Skip.

Thanks for all you've shared with us.

A wonderful painter with interesting perspectives. I wish I could’ve met him. My condolences to his family and friends.
