I don't know if you are talking about the original Rage, or Rage Compact. Looks a bit longer and has more taper than the Rage Compact. Kind of resembles the modern european scandi heads.

I bought a few, and my initial impression is they are a very nice casting head. Not like the Rage at all.

Now that I see the taper, it appears similar to a NextCast FF 35.
Might have to check one out, the FFs are as close to "self-casting" as a fella can get.

Fuck that, a good line is a good line. Trust me, I've spent plenty of $ supporting James, Simon, and even Nobuo, all of which were produced by Rio in the past. Rio makes some good shit, and some that's not so good, just like everybody else.
